Pointe of View

What It Is

Designed for aspiring, pre-professional, and professional dancers, Pointe of View is for dancers, by dancers. Once chosen, the Bunheads get to know the fellow dancers, make friends, promote Dance Your Buns Off, getting all kinds of special opportunities. Applications are currently closed, as we have already chosen and announced our first ambassadors, but keep a look out for our search for another chance to apply.

 What You Get

Once accepted as a Pointe of View partner, the dancer will be interviewed by our team, and will have opportunities to supply content. They will play a large part in our social media, blog, and will be featured frequently to our readers and followers. All of this is in addition to making friends with similar interests and passions, all the while doing what they love.

Meet our Dancers

IMG_3192Tara Neil

Hey everyone. My name is Tara. I am 18 years old and a freshman in college. I’m majoring in psychology and minoring in dance. I want to be a psychotherapist and I plan to use dance as an alternative form or therapy for my clients.I started dancing at the age of 5 but didn’t take it seriously until I was 13. I was on a dance competition team in high school and won 1st overall at four national competitions. I have also danced in professional productions of The Nutcracker, Snow White, La Sylphie and Don Quixote.

I am also a blogger. I started my blog, Dancing Through Life, mainly as a ballet blog in 2013. Over the years it has grown into a ballet/lifestyle blog. I write about ballet technique, nutrition, advice for dancers, interviews with my favorite dancers as well as life lessons I believe are important to learn and awareness posts for causes I’m passionate about.
In my free time I love to read, act, sing Broadway showtunes, blog and watch TV (Grey’s Anatomy and Downton Abbey are my faves).
I am thrilled to be an ambassador for Dance Your Buns Off because it’s an amazing blog and the owner(s) have amazing posts that will help many dancers.
Feel free to check out my blog at www.omgshesarealballerina.blogspot.com

Carly Herrmann

Hey guys! My name is Carly Herrmann, and I’m an aspiring ballerina!
For the first three years of my high school career, I danced in the Joffrey Ballet Chicago’s Pre-Professional division. Then for my senior year, I moved to Pittsburgh alone, and trained in Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s High School Full Time Program, while continuing high school online.
Starting this fall, I will be dancing in the University of Cincinnati’s ballet department as an incoming freshman!
Some summer intensive programs I have been to are Milwaukee Ballet, Joffrey Chicago, Kansas City Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Utah Ballet, and Ballet Chicago.
I am so excited to be apart of this awesome team, and share my love of ballet with all of you!
